Madhu is passionate about working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and celebrates what makes each person unique. She has experience in school-based, nonprofit, and private practice mental health settings, and takes a systems-centered approach that considers the full context of someone’s life. Madhu meets clients where they are, exploring how relationships, environments, and personal histories shape who they are — and who they are becoming.
Madhu provides counseling services to children, young adults, and older adults (ages 2–28 and 60+), with a focus on life transitions, emotional regulation, and identity exploration.
She also works with educators on issues such as vicarious trauma, burnout, stress management, compassion fatigue, and building resilience. Madhu believes that behavior is a form of communication and enjoys incorporating movement, music, play-based, and somatic techniques to support emotional growth and self-expression.
Her approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and grounded in the belief that each person is the expert on their own life. Sessions move at your pace, offering support, safety, and meaningful challenge — when you’re ready for it.
Madhu believes that change can be meaningful, but also overwhelming. Together, you’ll build on your strengths, deepen your self-awareness, develop tools for positive growth, and cultivate lasting internal peace. Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a loved one, Madhu is excited to connect and explore how you can work together.
She is currently able to accept Aetna, Cigna, Highmark/BCBS, and UPMC health insurances.
