Is this right for me? This service is ideal if you are:
Appointments usually within 2-3 business days.
In-person or secure Telehealth options.
Does not require a diagnosis.
Led by clinicians trained in an evidence-based model.
Single-session interventions (SSI) are specific, structured programs that intentionally involve just one visit with a counselor. The SSC, a type of SSI, uses a solution-focused brief therapy-based intervention to identify a modifiable challenge and develop a personalized action plan to make improvements in one visit.
The SCC is an evidence-based, flexible program that directly addresses the need to support people when they seek care, rather than weeks to months later, regardless of their specific clinical needs. It takes less than 60 minutes!
Details about academic research on the SCC can be found at "The Lab for Scalable Mental Health" Northwestern University They have demonstrated that the SSC helped reduce hopelessness, anxiety, distress, and improve agency (the belief that you have control over some aspect of your life) among people on waiting-lists for treatment.
Single-Session Consultations are private pay only at $100 for up to an hour appointment. SSCs are not reimbursable by insurance, as no diagnosis will be provided.
