Your deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket each year before your insurance begins covering therapy services. Many deductibles reset on January 1.
A copay is a fixed amount you pay at each session (for example, $20 or $40), as determined by your insurance plan. Copays usually apply even after your deductible has been met.
Co-insurance is the percentage of the session cost you’re responsible for after meeting your deductible. For example, if your plan covers 80%, you would pay the remaining 20%.
Insurance plans vary. We recommend contacting your insurance company directly to confirm your deductible, copay, and co-insurance amounts for the new year.
