We provide child counseling in a safe and supportive environment for children to be able express themselves in an open and honest manner. Through counseling we hope that kids can build skills to better manage and cope with stressful situations in a more effective manner.

Approximately 1 in 5 teens ages 13–18 experiences anxiety or depression at some point during their life. Whether academic, relationship concerns, or starting college or transitioning into adult life, teens can be a seriously exciting, but stressful time. It’s also pretty common for the first signs of mental health problems to show up at this age. We offer teen and adolescent counseling in a positive environment in our Pittsburgh office or virtually where teens and adolescents can feel their best.

Our therapists use evidence-based techniques to help children and teens develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and achieve greater success in school and other areas of life. Some interventions may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), child-centered play therapy, mindfulness, and relaxation.
