Child and Family Counseling

Our Approach

We realize that no two families or individuals are the same and as such we tailor our treatments to meet the specific needs of our clients and families.  Therapy highlights child and family strengths and teaches skills to address impairing challenges.

We provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to be able express themselves in an open and honest manner.  In addition to Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children with behavior problems, we have experience in a number of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation.   These comprehensive treatment interventions first seek to assess an individual’s symptoms, identify relevant diagnoses, and pinpoint specific causes. Treatment then identifies and targets individualized goals and tracks progress.  During counseling session we work build skills for individuals to better manage and cope with stressful situations in a more effective manner.  Anyone who may be experiencing symptoms related to anxiety,  depression, trauma,  specific phobias, personal adjustments, LGBTQ+ issues, or other stressors may benefit from counseling.

We know that seeking help can be an overwhelming experience.  To help reduce that stress for you and your child please visit "Taking Your Child to a Therapist".
